Best BBQ in Elgin

We make this a standard visit at the end of any road trip headed home that passes through Elgin. In addition to our lunches, we often end up headed home with a couple of pounds of meat and some family sized sides. The moist brisket was fall-apart-in-your-mouth tender. The sausage was juicy and packed with flavor and the “snap” of the casing is a testament to the freshness of the meats served here. If it is a day when you can get the elusive “dreamsicle orange cupcake” take advantage. It is delicious. Service is always friendly. You cannot beat Meyer’s for quality Texas BBQ.

While looking at properties around the area I read about this smokehouse and boy am I glad we stopped by here! The portions are massive and the staff is so great! Southern hospitality at its finest! The BBQ was phenomenal; my wife and I particularly loved the Pork Sausage! You definitely can't go wrong with the Pit Boss Sampler Platter which allows you to get a taste of a variety of meats! I highly, highly recommend this place if you're looking for some amazing BBQ, especially sausages!

I used to live in Elgin and Meyer’s has always been my favorite BBQ! I moved five years ago and live in Dripping Springs now, but I go out of my way to go there whenever I drive to Houston. I love it so much I used them to cater my company Christmas party all the way in Bee Cave! And let me tell you, everyone loved it. We had 200 people there and they said it was the best bbq we have ever had at our Christmas celebration!

Our son and his fiancé were honored at a "We can't say 'I do' without BBQ" couples shower at Meyer's Elgin Smokehouse. The restaurant's private party room (The Texas Room) was the perfect setting for the theme. The close, special event parking, along with the handicap spot and private entry door was incredibly helpful and convenient especially for our senior guests. The brisket and sausage was exceptional! The entire team at Meyer's Elgin Smokehouse did an amazing job to make this special occasion extremely memorable. Well done everyone!

I don't know what they do to their sausages, but they literally melt in your mouth! No tough casing that you have to chew for 20 mins and then discreetly spit into your napkin. My husband and I always get the Cowabunga sandwich. Heaven!- I happen to make THE best German Chocolate cake...but theirs comes in a very close 2nd. Meyers is definitely top 1st class Texas BBQ!

You can taste the heritage. The German Chocolate cupcakes are Mr Meyers grandmothers recipe. She made him a German chocolate cake every year for his birthday. The brisket is so moist. So flavorful. Delicious sides. Try a brisket potato. You won't be sorry.

I won't take away any stars for that bland ass macaroni and cheese or potato salad lol I should've known better The service was excellent and so was the BBQ! I requested the fatty part of the brisket because I'm a fatty, and that's exactly what I got the turkey was delicious with their sauce (I usually don't like sauce on my BBQ) this was also the best sausage in the world! I tried a piece while driving and had to pull over and thank the lordT for that deliciousness yes, I'm extra lol I didn't pull over; but I thought about it lol I would definitely recommend and return...give the other sides

Thank you Meyer's for the wonderful turkeys you provided to our company this morning. Everyone is happy and thankfull!!! And everyone reading, this was for a company Thanksgiving on 11/7....they went out of their way to make the meal perfect for us on an odd date to do it.
